Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Her initial inspiration was the shadows that were cast onto grass. A few months later she came up with a technique that didn't render the chosen object onto canvas in a flat image. Rather the subject is transformed into a representation of the subject in which the painting is the vehicle for its individual interpretation of the subject, particularly in the case of living or perishable items for example, like humans or fruits. Her ephemeral painterly style is obvious and what survives in Alexa Meade's works is a photograph. Painting and photography are closely together to produce an unflattering two-dimensional space that is a trompe l'oeil. In certain places, three dimensions are seen, for example, around the eye or on the hair. Meade often incorporates models painted into the environment around them. This allows them to interact with this world the artist has constructed. The lines between performance, photography, installation and painting is thus broken.
