Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to the family of South London. She has a mother who is English and her father Nigerian. Her family was raised in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. She earned her BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school, she was a part-time actor in a number of performances on stage, such as King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut was that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008. She has performed on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, directed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran at The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the show's second season as the show's regular. In May of 2013, it was announced that word broke that the actress would be departing the show following her guest appearance on the opening episode for its third season. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe got married to her long-time love, Iddo. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress is a member of a large family living in Hamilton, Ontario. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who were each of them extremely athletic, played hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was unable to walk, but could dance. As a result, as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance following this. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, tap and jazz at the top divisions. Ashley was awarded the top soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among the few.
