Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnn Kymes were two of the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. Alison Maria Krauss started her musical career at a young age, winning local competitions at the age of 10. Her first recording was her first time at age 14. When she was 14, she enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. She was then invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, which is the group she performs together. Her debut album as a collective with this band came out in the year 1989.
